Toward the beginning of every year we hold our Annual Banquet, with the main purpose to hold our required Annual Meeting and elect the volunteers to serve on our Board of Directors. However, over the years this event has grown into so much more than that! The evening starts with a social hour, followed by dinner, a short business meeting, entertainment, and door prizes. In a recent study, the main motivation for members to attend is the comradery and good food. To make the evening's festivities fun for the attendees, and staff, the Annual Banquet revolves around a different theme each year. These have ranged from Western, Sports, Route 66, Big Top Services, Under the Sea, among many others! Entertainment over the years has ranged from Bingo, a Ventriloquist, singers, and so on!
Our 70th Annual Meeting took place on Thursday, January 21, 2021.
Credit Union Week
International Credit Union Day is celebrated annually on the third Thursday in October. However, we don't think one day is enough to thank our members for their continued support, so we celebrate all week long! The idea started as a way to acknowledge both the credit unions' important role in creating opportunities for their members and communities and the achievements of our members. Each year we take the opportunity to remind our current members why they belong to a credit union and show our appreciation for their membership!
At M-O Federal Credit Union we take extra care to protect your personal and account information. To help you easily and securely dispose of your unwanted documents that contain confidential information we provide our members with a Shred Event. A shred truck comes to collect papers and documents and shreds it while you are still in the parking lot. The truck has an inboard camera, which allows you to watch your documents being shredded. These shreds are then taken and recycled into products such as tissue paper and paper towels.
NEXT SHRED DAY: Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 4-6pm in our 18th & Dakota parking lot
